ECU / TCU cloning
Transfer of supported vehicle-specific data to a compatible replacement module.
ELECTRONIC MODULE SERVICE
Professional support for control-unit diagnosis, cloning, virginisation, backup recovery and replacement-module preparation.
01 / OVERVIEW
A failed ECU or TCU can contain immobiliser, coding, calibration and adaptation data that belongs to the vehicle. When replacement is required, accurate identification and a complete backup can save hours of programming and prevent an expensive no-start situation. ECUFileMarket supports workshops with the data side of module repair and replacement.
Projects may include cloning compatible units, preparing supported modules for initialisation, recovering usable data from backups or validating files after electronic repair. Hardware work still requires professional bench equipment, ESD protection and component-level skills; software should never be used to disguise physical damage.
02 / CAPABILITIES
Transfer of supported vehicle-specific data to a compatible replacement module.
Preparation for manufacturer-appropriate coding or initialisation where supported.
Review of flash and EEPROM reads before a critical replacement or recovery operation.
Data comparison following power-supply, memory or board-level intervention.
03 / TECHNICAL APPROACH
Part number, hardware index and software family must be compared before cloning. A connector that fits does not prove electronic compatibility. Clear photographs of both labels, the vehicle VIN, read method and file sizes help our team identify the correct route before any data is written.
Where possible, create separate full backups from the original and donor modules. Never overwrite the only donor read. If the original unit communicates intermittently, stabilise the power supply and avoid repeated operations that may worsen memory corruption. Mark every file clearly so flash, EEPROM and microcontroller data cannot be confused.
After installation, complete a full vehicle scan, coding check and functional test. Some applications still require security access, online programming or adaptations even after data transfer. The workshop should verify immobiliser operation, VIN, variant coding and all related network modules before returning the vehicle.
04 / PROCESS
Provide both labels, part numbers, vehicle details and fault symptoms.
Read all available memories with a supported bench or boot protocol.
We validate the material and prepare the supported transfer or reset solution.
Write with stable power, scan the vehicle and complete coding or adaptations.
05 / WHY ECUFILEMARKET
Since 2009, ECUFileMarket has supported enthusiasts and professional workshops with custom files, practical technical advice and a secure ordering process. We combine a large software database with project-specific analysis, because good results depend on both data and judgement.
06 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No. Hardware, part number, memory layout and software family must be compatible.
Requirements vary. Full flash, EEPROM and microcontroller reads may be needed depending on the module.
No. Circuit-board, power-stage, water or communication faults require electronic diagnosis and repair.
Some supported clones are plug-and-play, while others still require coding, synchronisation or adaptations.
